Sheldon Lee Compton is the author of The Same Terrible Storm, nominated for the Thomas and Lillie D. Chaffin Award for Excellence in Appalachian Writing. He is a four-time Pushcart Prize nominee, a judge’s selection winner for the Still: JournalFiction Award, and a finalist for the Gertrude Stein Award in Fiction. In addition to his work with Night Train, he also founded and publishes the online journal Revolution John. He survives in Kentucky.
