To the Fathers of the Girls in the Girls Gone Wild DVDs

The world cannot be made to apologize
for the evolution of man! The skinned knees
and the pigtails are only little things
in the face of it. You are a lion, good sir,
and it is your manifest lionhood to select
from all lionesses the best possible one,
the best hunter and provider, the bearer
of future lions and lionesses. Without
the logical ordering of sex
where would humans be? Stuck under
the padded shoes of
the elephants! Or perhaps
hiding in caves while the dolphins
learn to walk and construct
cars that run on seawater! No,
no, we cannot allow that. Natural selection
relies on big, swinging breasts and cute
upturned noses—it's instinct!
Your seed is only another fish
crawling out of the sweet nectar
of primordia, your daughter (pictured here
with her wide, brace-less smile
buried between the legs of her best friend)
is another link in the chain
of man's continuing quest
to understand his own archetypal needs. Think of this
the next time you are out to dinner with mom—
it is your fundamental duty as upright man
to meditate longingly on the virtues
of the waitress's fine, swaying buttocks.
The earth jiggles for you,
and the days stick proudly forward
against the stiff breeze of the future.
